Christmas Eve Services
- 6:00pm Family Style Worship with Praise Team

New Year’s Eve (December 31) morning: One Service at 10:30am
Christmas Eve Worship Schedule
Worship on Christmas Eve is always very special. We hope you plan to join us and will invite friends and family.
This year, our church will have the following schedule for Christmas Eve worship services:
6:00pm Family Style Worship
(This early worship time allows us to be sensitive to little children’s needs, and allows people to make evening plans for gatherings with relatives as well as that evening. Music will be provided by the Praise Band and the service will include a closing candlelight time.)
8:00pm Traditional Candlelight Worship
(This service is held at the traditional time for our church when most people have attended. Special Music will be provided by our Chancel Choir and the service will include a Sacred Candlelight time at the end.)
Also note that since Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year, some were asking about our church worship schedule that day. Our morning plan will be only one service at 10:30am.
Outreach Christmas Gift Opportunity 2017
“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference.” ( Kathy Calvin, President of The United Nations Foundation) This year for Christmas, you can make a difference by giving to mission organizations in honor or memory of someone through the Outreach Alternative Giving Program.
The Outreach Council has chosen seven mission organizations as the focus of our Christmas giving:
- Local organizations:
- Urban Impact
- The B.O.B. Project
- Lost and Found Pharmacy
- National organizations:
- Habitat for Humanity
- Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland
- International organizations:
- Heifer Project International
- WASH – Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Project (a UM Advance project)
The new mission organizations are featured on the Outreach bulletin board in the narthex.
Visit the Outreach Table in the narthex any Sunday in Advent (November 26, and December 3, 10, 17, 24). Brochures will be available which describe each organization and give a web address for more information. You can honor a family member, friend, teacher, or coworker by giving a donation in their name. When you give a donation, you will receive an envelope to give to the person you wish to honor. The envelope will contain a card describing the mission organization and an ornament representative of that mission’s focus.
This Christmas, give a gift that gives back to help our world!
The Angel Tree is in the Narthex. This year our Angel Tree is supporting the families of The Sojourner House. There are 13 families that include 21 children and 12 moms. Please help provide gifts for these families. All Angel Tree gifts should be wrapped and the white angel placed on the gift and returned to the church by Sunday, December 10th.
Please contact the church office if you have any questions.
Sanctuary UnDecorating Time
We all love Christmas and the beauty of the sanctuary. But there comes a time to put the decorations away. That time this year will be Saturday morning, January 13th at 9:00am. Please consider coming to help out that day.
